DADU: 70 Independence Day was celebrated in Dadu district and its sub-division Johi, Mehar, KN Shah and other towns. Flag hosting ceremonies were held at Dadu Police Line Head Quarter, Sindh University Campus Dadu, Dadu Civil Hospital and others private institutions while seminars and day-related programmes were held.
Independence Day rallies were also taken out by citizens, socials activists, politicians, religious parties and
monitories. Hindu showed special love for the country.
Government offices, commercial banks, parks, roads and main markets were decorated with national flags, buntings and colourful stripes.
The main flag hosting ceremony was held at police head quarter where Minister for Oquafe Department Ghulam Shah Jailani, Deputy Commissioner Dadu Raja Shahzaman Khaharo and SSP Dadu Shabbir Ahmed Sethar while hosting national cut cake and distributed sweets among audience.
Ghulam Jailani said Hindu and other communities and their holy place were protected from any kind of terrorist in Pakistan but Muslim were not save in India. “They are killed in the name of religious-terrorism in India. India is country where Babar King made Babri Mosque was demolished by Indian extremists on behest of government. But no any of the international organisation talked about issue.
At Sindh University Shaheed Mohtrama Benizeer Bhutto Campus Dadu, Pro Vice Chancellor Dr Anwar Ali Shah hoisted national flag and participants prayed for well being of the country.
Sindh University Campus Dadu IT-Information Technology Department student presented tableau, traditional dance and highlighted struggle of Quaid Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah in their speeches.
Dadu Civil Hospital officials also organized event on the day. Deputy Commissioner Dadu Raja Shahzaman was chief guest.
Shahzaman said we should need to improve hospitals facilities for poor and urged people should vow on this eve to shun all differences and united besides every citizen to work in his respective field.
Independence rallies were also taken out by different political and social organizations. Happy Independence rally was taken by Pakistan People’s Party; former PPP Sindh Education Minister Pir Mazhar-ul-Haque also participated. Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf rally led by local leader Sardar Aishque Ali, Citizen Action Committee rally led by President Dr Abdul Jabbar, Sunni Action Committee rally, Hindu community rally and other social and welfare bodies also took out Independence Day rallies.
