SARGODHA: Five members of a family were killed by an unidentified person on Friday night in a village near Sargodha.
According to the reports, at midnight, unidentified persons entered 50-year-old Muhammad Tafel’s house and opened fire on them, resulting in death of four people along with one wounded.
The deceased include Tafel’s 40-year-old wife Majeeda Bibi, two sons and one daughter aged 20, 18 and 16.
DSP Bhalwal Khalid Khan Niazi reported that the deceased and the wounded were moved to a hospital while the investigation of the incident has been started.
Caretaker Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Dr. Hasan Askari took notice of the incident and has summoned a report from Inspector General (IG) Punjab.
In another incident in Faisalabad, a father killed his son over a property dispute.
